EMI, in the midst of its own management reorg, has settled its ringtone royalties lawsuit with Infospace, though the terms were not disclosed. EMI's publishing also alleged InfoSpace was selling expressly restricted songs, such as John Lennon's "Imagine," and selling ringtones in worldwide markets where it had not been granted license.

Curators at a Waukesha museum have acquired the rights to an exclusive collection of original John Lennon artwork, as well as the microphone Lennon used to record his signature song, "Imagine." Local broadcasting legend Bob Barry also is loaning the museum a collection of memorabilia from the Beatles' 1964 visit to Milwaukee, which Barry hosted.

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY will appear in a British TV campaign for Paralympic athletes, urging the public to donate to the cause. The former Beatle has joined forces with fundraising appeal Paralympics GB, which aims to send disabled athletes to the Paralympic Games in Beijing this year.

Sir Paul McCartney was yesterday spotted for the first time with his new eco-friendly car – after it stamped a huge carbon footprint being flown from Japan. The former Beatle's £84,000 Lexus hybrid vehicle was jetted 7,000 miles to the UK. The LS600H was a gift from Lexus to the 65-year-old, who helped promote the hybrid vehicle.

Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney says the band almost scrapped the hit song Hey Jude because he and bassist George Harrison could not agree on the song's arrangement. McCartney says the recording of the song was chaotic because he fought with Harrison over whose version of the song was better.

Tribute bands will pay homage to the Fab Four from Liverpool’s rooftops during this month’s Beatles Day. They will recreate the famous January 1969 Savile Row rooftop appearance by singing some of the band’s most famous songs on top of city buildings, including the ECHO Arena.

A long-lost interview with The Beatles’ John Lennon reveals that he thought the band’s drummer, Ringo Starr, should have been “heard and not seen” during his time with the band. Settle down Beatles fans. Lennon was only joking. There wasn't (seemingly) any bad blood between him and Starr.

He once called the seal hunt a "stain" on Canada's image. The ex-Beatle said an EU ban could successfully shut down the international sealing industry.

British documentary maker Tony Palmer called his 17-hour TV series exploring the origins of American popular music “All You Need Is Love,” because John Lennon told him it would make a great title. But in the three decades since he made it, it's become evident to Palmer that he could justifiably have named it "Nick of Time."
