Paul Sings to Street Car Passengers in New Orleans

Thursday, February 07, 2013

Paul Mc Cartney serenaded unsuspecting street car passengers in New Orleans during his Carnivale visit.  Paul, accompanied by wife Nancy and a security guard, hopped aboard a street car—where most passengers mistook him for a street performer.  Some even threw money to him.

The UK’s Daily Star quotes 49 year-old commuter Robert Senft, who said: “This guy got on the street car and started singing Beatles’ songs. Everyone was just ignoring him really because there are a lot of buskers in this town. Then we realised it was Sir Paul McCartney and we were just in shock. He started singing along with the whole carriage and taking pictures. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. One of the best days of my life.”

Paul, its time to check your insatiable ego in the coat room
Since nobody can now speak for Lennon, the ONLY human on earth who could put McCartney in his place, I will try and channel him, at least in jest. If Lennon were talking now he would say "for Christ's sake Paul, how many standing ovations does it take to satiate your insatiable egocentric head?" He would probably say, "we know which tunes you wrote or co-wrote, whats next?.....that you'r going to claim you played all the instruments, actually wrote every Beatles track ever recorded, sang all the vocals and were the secret producer, engineer & manager?.....you always were a clever weaver of fairy tales":-)

I think that is a fair facsimile.
