Bill Morrison says he’s always been willing to accept work without really thinking too much about the gravity of what’s been offered, so when the illustrator and writer was offered a chance to do the first-ever graphic novel adaptation of “Yellow Submarine” he said yes without hesitation.
“I don’t get intimidated,” said Morrison, the co-founder of Bongo Comics with “The Simpsons” creator Matt Groening, talking about the Beatles’ classic 1968 animated film at Comic-Con 2018 on Friday. “So at first, ‘The Beatles? “Yellow Submarine?” I love them. Yes!’”
