Disney+ released their original documentary series The Beatles: Get Back, debuting never-before-seen footage of John Lennon, McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr as they rehearsed for one of their final live performances.

That was their rooftop concert at the Apple Corps headquarters at London’s 3 Savile Row, where Ringo Starr made it a point to always be on time for their rehearsal.

“You want to be respectful of the original,” Hicks said. “Dhani and I hate the expression ‘de-Spectorizing.’ That’s not the point of this project.” Producer Phil Spector added reverb on the album that George himself hated.

BMG has entered into one of those global publishing agreements with the George Harrison estate which will see the music firm administer the catalogue of the late Beatle’s publishing company Harrisongs, which includes songs he wrote with The Beatles and Traveling Wilburys as well as music from his solo career.

The deal around Harrison’s songs catalogue builds on BMG’s existing partnership with Dark Horse Records, the label Harrison founded in 1974 to release his own music and recordings by other artists, and which is now run by his son Dhani and artist manager David Zonshine.

Commenting on the new deal, Dhani Harrison says: “I’m delighted to announce that my father’s song catalogue will be joining BMG/Dark Horse Records.  The Forthlin Sessions at 20 Forthlin Road, where the former Beatles wrote many hits, will open its doors to a new generation of musicians

The childhood home of Paul McCartney, where the former Beatle wrote some of the world's most famous songs, will soon open its doors to a new generation of musicians.

The National Trust has announced that 20 Forthlin Road in Liverpool will be transformed into a new creative space for unsigned artists to play and perform music within the same walls that McCartney wrote classics like "Love Me Do," "I Saw Her Standing There" and "When I'm 64."

The effort will be known as The Forthlin Sessions, and all performances will be recorded and publicized, "offering vital opportunities for new musical talent to reach audiences," according to a press release.

McCartney, 79, and his brother Mike, a photographer, moved with their family to the modest home in 1955, and it often played host to rehearsals and writing sessions with McCartney and his future bandmate John Lennon.

 There's a quizzical piece of Beatles memorabilia hitting the market ... and these handwritten lyrics from Paul McCartney are worth way more than silver.

The working lyric sheet for the Beatles' 1969 hit, "Maxwell's Silver Hammer," is going up for sale ... and the folks at Moments in Time are putting the price tag at a whopping $450,000.

Paul wrote the first page of lyrics on a sheet of paper with letterhead for Apple Corps Limited, the multimedia corporation Beatles members founded way back in 1968 in London.

There are three pages total, and the other two were written by Mal Evans ... the band's former road manager and personal assistant.

The "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" lyrics are a hell of a treasure ... they were last put on the open market back in 2006, selling for $192,000. Now, a private collector is looking to unload them for more than double the price.

The track is Paul's first song on the Beatles' famous "Abbey Road" album ... Paul wrote the lyrics after the band's trip to India in 1968, and he initially wanted to record it for the 'White Album.'

The childhood home of George Harrison is set to open as an Airbnb for Beatles fans after it sold at auction for £171,000.

The Beatles guitarist moved into the terraced house at 25 Upton Green in Speke in 1949 when he was six years old, and remained there until the 1960s. It was during his time at the house that George met Paul McCartney and John Lennon, and the three held some of their first rehearsals there.

Beatles fan Ken Lambert, 48, from the USA, bought the house when it went under the hammer with Omega Auctions in November.

Ken told the ECHO: "I’m a big Beatles fan and George is my favourite Beatle. When the Beatles broke up I was a big fan of George and followed his music and all the things he did outside the Beatles.

"I saw that it [George's childhood home] was available for sale just in my news web feed. It was on every platform - BBC, CNN, New York Post - I then decided to place a bid on it. I wasn’t necessarily thinking I would win.
