I think people who responded that The Beatles could have ever made it without Paul should seriously have their heads examined!
It would never have happened period end of story. Four guys, not three, came together, at a time in history and completely changed MUSIC and this will not happen again, at least in my lifetime!

it seems to be on a heavy rotation right now! the rendition is sooo sad depresing and completly so not Beatles! PLEASE put it away for a while.

Have not heard this in the mix.
The lads, especially Paul have referred on several occasions to the time when they went to see Hendrix play the week Pepper was released. They were both astonished and honored and he strolled out on the stage and opened with a rendition of Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club!
